What is SSR?
Solid state relays (SSRs) offer a sophisticated alternative to mechanical switches, electronically controlling power flow to other devices. Unlike manual switches, SSRs seamlessly manage high-current devices like lights or appliances using low-current signals, such as a standard DC signal from a Digital Output. With a switching voltage starting at 3V, SSRs are perfectly suited for integration with Phidget Interface Kits or any digital output device.

How does it work?
The internal control inputs connect to an LED which illuminates across an air gap to light sensors, managing the transistors to open or close. This action connects or disconnects the relay's load with the power supply.
