25A New Single-Phase Relay-DC CONTROL AC (NNG3E-1/032F-38)
Remarks:
1. For loads exceeding 10A, a radiator is required. When loads surpass 80A, a Cooling Fan or Cooling Water System is essential for optimal performance.
2. For Inductive Load applications, please ensure a Varistor is mounted on the output terminal for enhanced protection.
Feature:
Experience the efficiency of no-contact relays, where semiconductors enable high-speed and high-frequency operations, ensuring seamless performance.
RoHS compliant, our products adhere to the highest environmental standards.
Models are also available without zero-cross functionality, catering to diverse needs.
Power elements are easily replaceable, ensuring longevity and adaptability.
Our products conform to both cULus and CE standards, guaranteeing quality and safety.
What is SSR?
Solid State Relays (SSRs) electronically control power on or off to devices, much like a mechanical switch, but without physical interaction. SSRs enable control of high-current devices, like lights and appliances, using low-current signals, such as a standard DC signal from a Digital Output. Most SSRs activate with a voltage of 3V or higher, making them ideal for Phidget Interface Kits or any device with a digital output.
SSRs perform similar functions to Mechanical Relays, but offer these advantages:
- SSRs generate less electromagnetic interference than mechanical relays, primarily due to the absence of contact arcing which occurs in mechanical relays when contacts spark during switching. The lack of electromagnets in SSRs also contributes to reduced interference.
- Unlike mechanical relays, where contacts wear down from arcing, SSRs have purely digital internals, ensuring they last for millions of cycles.
- SSRs switch faster than mechanical relays (1ms compared to 10ms), offering rapid response times.
- SSRs are more resistant to physical vibrations than mechanical relays, ensuring stable performance.
- The absence of a mechanical switch in SSRs prevents contact bounce and ensures silent operation.
How does it work?
The control inputs connect to an LED, shining across an air gap to light sensors. These sensors link to transistors that open or close, connecting or disconnecting the relay's load with power. When a transistor is closed, current flows seamlessly through the relay, connecting the load and power supply. When a transistor is open, most current is blocked, disconnecting the load from the power supply. This LED and light sensor pairing, known as an optocoupler, is common for linking circuit parts without direct electrical connections.
