Understanding SSR:
Solid state relays (SSRs) are advanced switches that control power delivery to devices electronically rather than mechanically. They enable high-current device control, such as lights or appliances, via low-current signals like a standard DC output-ideal for pairing with Phidget Interface Kits or any digital output device. SSRs generally activate with voltages as low as 3V, making them highly versatile.

SSRs minimize electromagnetic interference significantly compared to mechanical relays, thanks to the absence of contact arcing-a phenomenon that sparks internal relay contacts during switching. Additionally, SSRs operate without electromagnets, further reducing interference.
Mechanical relay switch contacts degrade from arcing over time, whereas SSRs, with purely digital internals, offer an extended lifespan of millions of cycles when used correctly.
SSRs are capable of switching on and off much faster than mechanical relays, with switch times of 1ms compared to 10ms.

Operational Mechanism:
